Description

North Lake Provincial Park is New Brunswick's newest Provincial Park. It opened in 2022. The park has a campground with 45 campsites, on a peninsula that pokes out into North Lake. It also has a beach that is the perfect place to launch a canoe or kayak.

The lake has several options for exploring by boat. Straight across from the beach is a wetland and the mouth of Hay Brook. Hay Brook is a wide meandering stream. After a few turns you will come to a ducks unlimited dam on the stream.

A second option is Monument Brook. Monument Brook is another wide meandering stream. The brook forms the border between Canada and the United States so don't go to shore on the far side of the stream or you will be illegally entering the US.

Directions

On Route 2, between Fredericton and Woodstock, take exit 212 and turn towards Canterbury. Drive for 37 kilometres and you will see the sign for North Lake Provincial Park on the right.
